Danny Tarkanian Accepts Shepard Smith Challenge: “I will go on your show and defend the President”

Shepard Smith said, that after reaching out to many Republicans across the country, everyone refused to come on the show to defend President Trump.

“Our booking team, and they’re good, reached out to Republicans of all stripes across the country today. Let’s be honest. Republicans often don’t really mind coming on Fox News Channel. We couldn’t get anyone to come and defend him here because we thought, in balance, someone should do that. We worked very hard at it throughout the day, and we were unsuccessful.”

One Republican that apparently hadn’t been reached out to, is Danny Tarkanian, running for U.S. Senate against Dean Heller in Nevada.

He accepted Shepard Smith’s challenge today on social media. He tweeted:

Hey @ShepNewsTeam bookers didn’t contact me in NV.  I’m happy to defend @potus on show!  Contact TarkNV.com.  #NVSen

Tarkanian, a favorite among Trump supporters, has defended the President every step of the way.

Since entering the race last week, he’s been portraying himself as the alternative to incumbent Republican Dean Heller.

Tarkanian has been vocal about Heller’s refusal to support the President. He went as far as publishing a website, www.neverheller.com, that pulled Heller’s quotes from the campaign, such as “I vehemently oppose our nominee.”

It’s clear that Tarkanian is not backing down, even in the wake of prominent Republicans being too timid to go on national television to defend Trump.
