A third major poll conducted after the first GOP presidential debate confirmed once more the massive lead Donald Trump commands over the entire field.

At 24%, the CNN poll reflected similar numbers reported by the Fox news poll taken last week in which Trump’s lead is on average anywhere from ten to a dozen points ahead of the second place candidate.

Trading places for second and third place are Bush and Carson with Cruz and Rubio tying for fourth and fifth.

Carly Fiorina’s media blitz appears to have carved out a comfortable spot for her in the middle of the pack, which if maintained will ensure her a spot in the second debate.

The Simi Valley event to be hosted at the Reagan Library is set for one month from today in which at least one of the candidates from the first debate will not make muster for the second.

As of today, the RCP polling average has Paul, Kasich and Huckabee all at exactly 4.3% with Christie trailing a single point behind them in eleventh place.
