Trump: New Sanctions on North Korea

According to the Washington Examiner, President Trump will give more details about new sanctions on North Korea later today. These sanctions come in light of the regime’s recent missile testing and stated intention to build a missile that will reach the continental United States.

There is also a strong possibility that the president will also discuss these measures with at least two other nations today, both in close proximity to North Korea: Japan and South Korea.

Earlier this week, President Trump condemned the regime’s actions with even harsher words at his first address to the United Nations General Assembly:

“The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea.

“Rocket Man is on a suicide mission for himself and for his regime,” President Trump warned. “The United States is ready, willing, and able, but hopefully this will not be necessary. That’s what the United Nations is all about. That’s what the United Nations is for. Let’s see how they do.”
