A prominent Roseburg, Oregon resident is telling President Obama to stay out of his town after the President used the rampage at a local community college to push his gun control agenda.

David Jaques, publisher of a local newspaper, took Obama to task for manipulating the tragedy before the bodies had even been removed.

According to The Daily Caller:

“After listening to President Obama’s speech politicizing last week’s horrific shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, David Jaques — publisher of the Roseburg Beacon — said the president isn’t welcome in their town.

“I think that’s very inappropriate, and I think it’s disrespectful to the families,” Jaques said of a potential presidential visit to Roseburg.

“We haven’t even identified bodies, we’ve still got incident command trying to contain the scene, and he’s holding a press conference 3,000 miles away from here, telling — almost implying that he could have single-handedly prevented this if the Congress would have listened to him.”

“I think he admitted it himself. His visit here isn’t a re-election campaign stop, but it is a campaign stop for an agenda that he and his associates believe is important,” Jaques continued. “And that is to take away Americans right to own firearms.”
