Former New Hampshire State Rep. Nicholas Palangas faces charges after allegedly driving recklessly and subsequently killing his brother in a car crash Labor Day weekend.

Eric Palangas, 49, of Manchester, has been identified as the man who was killed in a single-vehicle rollover Saturday.
Palangas was one of the passengers in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Nicholas Palangas, 50, of Weare, was driving the car – he and another passenger survived.
Police said they responded to the accident just west of Sullivan Drive where they found a 1970 Chevelle resting on its roof.Nicholas Palangas was charged with negligent homicide and aggravated driving while intoxicated.
Eric Palangas was a former Democratic member of the N.H. House.
The car flipped multiple times during the crash. Police are waiting on the results of a blood test that will determine if more charges could be filed. Officers at the scene believed they smelled alcohol according to WMUR. Palangas was released on $5,000 bail.
