Big Shakeup In the Big Easy

As we’ve reported, Mary Landrieu’s Louisiana Senate seat has been increasingly doubtful for Democrats as the weeks continue precipitously toward Nov. 4th. Polls continue to show Republican Bill Cassidy several points ahead.

Finally, in an effort to revitalize her bid, Landrieu has removed her campaign manager, Adam Sullivan, and replaced him with Ryan Berni, former Bill Clinton aide, reports Politico.

Landrieu representative Fabien Levy remained confident:

“Like any of the Senator’s winning campaigns, we are tightening our senior strategy team and bringing on some of her long time advisers to help out during the last month of the race… We know this will lead us to victory on November 4. Adam Sullivan remains as an advisor to the campaign.”

According to the last poll from CBS/NYT, Bill Cassidy leads Landrieu by six points with little more than three weeks left in the race for control of the U.S. Senate.
