GOP Presidential hopeful Jeb Bush called former NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg a “good man” and great Mayor” this weekend as rumors around the billionaire’s entry into the 2016 Presidential race heat up.
According to The Hill:
Republican presidential hopeful Jeb Bush on Sunday said former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who is reportedly considering an independent presidential bid in 2016, was “a great mayor.”
“Look, he’s a good man,” Bush said on ABC’s “This Week.” “He was a great mayor. He’s much more liberal than I am, but he’s a good person.”
The former Florida governor added that he did not think Bloomberg would get into the race, unless it came down to a contest between Democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders and Republican primary front-runner Donald Trump.
“I don’t think he’ll get in the race unless it’s Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders, probably,” he said.
