Chris Christie Just Received A Big Endorsement In New Hampshire

2016 GOP Presidential candidate and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has been endorsed by the New Hampshire Union Leader, the “live free or die” state’s largest newspaper.

According to Politico:

“New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s campaign for the Republican nomination gained some traction late Saturday with an endorsement from New Hampshire’s Union Leader, traditionally the most respected newspaper voice in the first-in-the-nation primary state.

Citing his credentials as a U.S. attorney and a “big state governor,” the newspaper’s publisher Joseph McQuaid wrote that Christie was a “solid, pro-life conservative who has managed to govern in liberal New Jersey, face down the big public unions, and win a second term.”

“Gov. Christie is right for these dangerous times. He has prosecuted terrorists and dealt admirably with major disasters. But the one reason he may be best-suited to lead during these times is because he tells it like it is and isn’t shy about it,” the editorial continued.

“Gov. Chris Christie is exactly the conservative Republican needed to take the fight to Hillary Clinton next fall and then get about the serious business of defending us and rebuilding our economy.”

  1. I could vote for the Gov. Christie, he is tough and that’s what we need now.
Not another Obama the Blowhard, or his side kick Hillary.
    Liars the both of them.

    • Christie is tough….on your gun rights, but hey Christie is big on polezi encroachments so maybe they’ll encroach faster to your defense.

  2. Christie is a blowhard, b.s. artist and I suspect subterfuge by anyone supporting him. He’d be lucky to get 25% of NJ voters to go for him. He squeaked by Corzine to get elected by a population sick of scandal by dems like C and mc greevey. His reelection was orchestrated by maneuvering cory booker into the US senate spot via unnecessary special elections costing millions but achieving the desired results: backstabbing the repub. candidate and ensuring a booker sweep. Obama (before “the hug”) and the dems promised to nominate a pail of rocks with no shot at winning and fulfilled their end, thus, 2 terms for christie creme. He yapped his way into being a mediocre governor. He’d be a worse president

    • Any Republican would be a better president than any Democrat you could name, even so-called RINOs.
This country is in the sad shape it’s in because Obama was put in the White House by Republicans who stayed home because their candidate didn’t win. In my eyes, THEY are the RINOs.

      • Donald, you hit the nail on the head with your comment about Republicans staying home rather than vote for a moderate Republican. I have voted Republican most of my life (age 67) and the two Obama loses can be attributed to these whinney Tea Party types who stayed home rather than vote for McCain or Romney. They are to blame for the state of our nation!!

        • Easy to point the finger! How about selecting a real constitutional conservative instead of the last 2 chamberpot repub candidates?

      • Never said he was a “rino”. He’s more like a dem when he has to be and a repub. when it suits his own agenda. That’s why we have primaries, to weed out these scrotes before they even get on the slate. It would take volumes to point out the symbiotic, incestuous relationships between new jersey “establishment” republicans and the nj establishment democrats. Right now, there are maybe 2 or 3 republicans that aren’t wired to the national dem’s asss.

  3. Ā§Full Disclosure: I remain hopeful about Ohio’s John KASICH. All the same, allow me to salute the UNION-LEADER for their surprising nod toward New Jersey’s badly under rated Chris CHRISTIE. Could be the late, great Bill LOEB LIVES?. S/Noel E. PARMENTEL Jr /NoelJr@OptOnline.Net

    • If more conservatives thought like Mr. Parmentel, the GOP would have a shot at the White House. Keep hootin’ and hollerin’ for Trump and Carson, though, it’s mighty entertaining.

  4. Chris Christie has about 2% in the polls. I don’t think this endorsement matters. He won’t be the nominee. He’ll likely be dropping out after New Hampshire’s primary. He’s an ok governor in NJ but way too liberal and statist for the GOP base.

  5. What a joke…they have been pushing Christy like crazy on Fox and the Union Endorsement means nothing cause nobody trust Union Leaders …They normally lead their people to vote for Candidates who send their jobs to other Countries…so yeah Union leaders suck and people in a Union are stuck on Stupid cause they do it every election then complain they have no work lol..idiots…Chris lip lock with Obama burried him !! he is dead to Conservatives..
