The Michigan GOP Convention next week will determine the Republican nominees for Attorney General and Secretary of State.
President Trump has fully endorsed candidates Matt DePerno for Attorney General and Kristina Karamo for Secretary of State, going as far as to campaign for them at a rally in Michigan and calling them the “Trump Ticket” for the upcoming convention.
The biggest question in Michigan has become electability, and which Republicans have the best chance to beat Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Attorney General Dana Nessel, and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson.
For the first time ever, President Trump is spending money in midterm elections. Politico reported that Save America PAC has transferred $500,000 into a PAC that is supporting Trump-endorsed gubernatorial candidate David Perdue in Georgia.
It seems likely that when DePerno and Karamo win the Republican nomination, Save America PAC will come in strong to help the Trump-endorsed candidates win the General Election.
