The Israeli government has announced they will name a new train station next to the historic Western Wall after President Trump.
The decision comes after President Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, a promise the last three presidents pledged to do, but never delivered.
Trump visited the Western Wall on a trip to Israel earlier this year.
There is no word yet from Hezbollah on whether or not they will name one of their cocaine smuggling ships after President Obama…
According to The Hill:
“Israel’s transportation minister announced on Wednesday that a train station set to be built adjacent to Jerusalem’s Western Wall will be named after President Trump to honor his decision to recognize Jerusalem as the Israeli capital.
“The Western Wall is the holiest place for the Jewish people, and I decided to name the train station that leads to it after President Trump — following his historic and brave decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Israel,” Yisrael Katz said, according to The Jerusalem Post.
The wall is considered one of the holiest sites in Judaism. The station is a part of an extension of Jerusalem’s high-speed rail, which will soon reach the Western Wall.
The move to name the station after Trump comes just weeks after the president bucked the international community and recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in a move that was widely praised by Israelis.”
