Michigan Democratic Congressman John Conyers has announced his retirement from his House seat today in the wake of shocking revelations of sexual harassment and misconduct, per The Hill.
News also broke yesterday in the Detroit Free Press that another accuser, a former staffer, said Conyers groped her during a church service.
Conyers, who has been in the House of Representatives since 1965 — over fifty years — has endorsed his son John Conyers III, for his House seat.
And Conyers III is no stranger to scandals of his own. He will apparently also be running against his nephew, Ian Conyers, for the same seat.
