Trump returns to CPAC, lays into the media

Donald Trump has addressed the Conservative Political Action Conference several times, but his appearance Friday was his first as President of the United States.

Trump took to the stage Friday morning to thunderous applause and a “U-S-A” chant. The President thanked the crowd for their support, and quickly reiterated a plethora of campaign promises on issues including immigration, national security, and trade.

It didn’t take long for Trump to begin attacking the media: he addressed his ongoing feud by stating he only has issues with news outlets considered “fake”.

Trump recently tweeted that the “fake news media” is an “enemy of the American people” The Balze reports.

“The dishonest media did not explain that I called the fake news the enemy of the people, the fake news,” he said. “They dropped off the word ‘fake’ and all the sudden, the story became ‘the media’ is the enemy… That’s the way they are.”

Trump further claimed that reporters “make up” sources that aren’t named in stories, and maintained that “dishonest” reporters are enemies of the American population.

Trump also further echoed previous promises to repeal Obamacare and “obliterate ISIS”.

“Nobody’s going to mess with us, folks” he said, adding that “working with our allies, we will eradicate this evil from the face of the earth.”
