On the first of July, U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan ordered the IRS to reports on the status of the search and recovery of Lois Lerner’s lost email archives.
This week, Judge Sullivan officially issued a warning that he may hold IRS Commissioner John Koskinen in contempt for the agency’s failure to produce the report.
Threatening also to jail DOJ attorneys representing the agency, Sullivan chided “I will haul into court the IRS Commissioner to hold him personally into contempt.”
The ongoing IRS scandal continues to metastasize as Koskinen has already received threats of impeachment from Congress for his involvement in what is being openly regarded as a deep and coordinated cover-up between the IRS and DOJ.
