DNC moves first vote to South Carolina to prioritize black voters

Now, South Carolina’s primary election for the Democratic presidential nominee is set for February 3, 2024. The Palmetto State has surpassed both New Hampshire and Iowa. According to the DNC, the choice was made in part to give non-white voters priority. Democrats, according to Senator Amy Klobuchar, “have turned their back on Iowa and rural America.” Republicans have won the majority of votes cast in American rural areas, while Democrats have typically won more votes in cities and suburbs. If Biden stands for office again and is challenged in 2020, the action might also improve his chances.
