“Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the 28-year-old socialist who secured a stunning Democratic primary win over New York Rep. Joseph Crowley last month, struggled to explain her stance on what she described as the ‘occupation of Palestine’ during an interview Friday with PBS’s Margaret Hoover,” per the Washington Times on Monday.
At times the young socialist and congressional candidate, who is almost certain to be elected in her New York district in November, she seemed to shrink when asked to give more details about her choice of word “occupation” before ultimately conceding that she is “not the expert on geopolitics on this issue.”

The slip into far left, anti-Israel rhetoric flowed quite naturally out of the democratic socialist before her attempt to regain some semblance of neutrality. And it would seem to come from a place of consistent liberal ideology: Ocasio-Cortez is purportedly planning, once elected, to form a sub-caucus in the House of Representatives to bolster progressive policies.
Ladies and gents, the future of the Democratic Party.
