News just weeks before the first debate revealed that Scott Walker had admitted his campaign would forgo competing in Florida given the assumption that either Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio would be unbeatable in their home state.
But that assumption is now being challenged by Donald Trump according to two successive polls taken among Florida voters.
A Florida Times-Union poll taken just before the debate showed Trump leading both Bush and Rubio, Bush by a single point and Rubio by twenty.
In a second poll taken a day after the debate showed Trump with an even greater advantage over Bush with a 21-17 spread while Rubio appeared to be closing the gap at 11.
