With 60 days remaining until the first of six Democrat primary debates, the prospect of a Biden candidacy continues to grow among the party’s most active grassroots base.
Key supporters in Iowa continue to hold out hope that the vice president will enter the race in the coming weeks in enough time to re-organize his 2008 campaign structure.
Although Biden has only commanded 9% in the recent polls where his name was included, his nascent Iowa leaders point to his 76% approval rating among Iowa Democrats as evidence that many voters who are currently supporting someone else would switch to Biden.
Analysts argue that a number of key grassroots events in the early caucus state in the Fall will force Biden, should he choose to run, to put his operation into overdrive and setup campaign offices very quickly to catch up with Hillary and Sanders.
