Trump Pulls New Hampshire Support

In two separate polls taken since the middle of the month, Donald Trump has wrested from Jeb Bush a sizeable command in New Hampshire.

In the respective Monmouth and NBC/Marist polls, which range from July 14th to the 26th, Trump has built as much as a 12-point lead over Jeb Bush, the previous leader in the second primary state.

That reality has seasoned political analyst Pat Buchanan speculating whether Trump can ultimately win the nomination and perhaps even the White House.

Buchanan predicts that Trump’s ongoing acclaim among the GOP base will likely earn him a spot among the final four after the carnage of the first round of primaries.

Whether he can “go the distance” may depend more on his own self-control than on any external political reality.
