Bush Snags Democrat Money

Just two weeks after posting record fundraising numbers that exceeded $100 million, Gov. Jeb Bush is staking new ground in enemy territory.

Jeb was hosted by Wall Street hedge fund manager Ken Lipper in the Hamptons over the weekend that boasted another massive cash haul of nearly a quarter million.

The difference between this event and so many others like it is that many of these donors were Democrats.

The Hamptons have been considered since Hillary’s run for Senate as Clinton territory, but according to Lipper the Bush appeal is winning across the aisle in ways no other candidate is able.

The prospect of big money support from Democrats is giving Team Hillary reason for concern. Should the race ultimately come down to Bush v. Clinton, a Bush Democrat trend could prove to be the death knell for Hillary’s White House aspirations.

Amid the ongoing email scandal that threatens potential criminal charges over classified information coupled with the negative polling in at least three swing states, Hillary’s trajectory is moving in the wrong direction.
