Stephanopoulos In Hotter Water

Last week ABC news anchor and former Clinton administration official George Stephanopoulos was forced to issue a public apology to his viewers. His apology came after it was revealed he donated at least $75,000 to the Clinton Foundation over the past 3 years.

Stephanopoulos failed to disclose this information ahead of his interview with the author of Clinton Cash, a book which has fueled the Donorgate scandal fire. His inaction has added more egg on the face of the news media which is still struggling with credibility due to the ongoing Brian Williams debacle.

Peter Schweizer, the author of Clinton Cash, responded this week after being grilled by Stephanopoulos. Schweitzer’s USA Today column claimed the $75,000 donation was only the tip of the iceberg in terms of the support the Clintons have received from Stephanopoulos.

Schweizer also notes that not only did Stephanopoulos neglect to ask questions about the under-the-table deals with Hillary’s brother, but in his apology to viewers Stephanopoulos also failed to admit to the half dozen times where he served as a key panelist at Clinton Foundation events.
