Revelations of DEA sex parties in foreign lands with federal drug agents and drug cartels was the latest scandal to engulf the Obama administration, despite its attempts to establish the president’s legacy.
Earlier this week, it was announced that the head of the Drug Enforcement Administration, Michele Leonhart, will be stepping down from the helm of the agency. She served eight years in the position.
Leonhart testified last week, before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, about the details of an inspector general’s report. The report provided lurid details on the scandal involving “literally dozens” of such parties at government expense.
This development only adds to the many controversies in leadership. The Secret Service, IRS, and Department of Justice have already been affected by high-profile changes during the past eight and a half years.
