Breaking this afternoon, according to reports:
“There is no evidence that Russian actors are behind the hack of thousands of Democratic National Committee emails leaked to WikiLeaks last week, according to founder Julian Assange.
“Well there is no proof of that whatsoever,” Assange told “NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt,” according to a transcript released Monday. “We have not disclosed our source, and of course, this is a diversion that’s being pushed by the Hillary Clinton campaign.”
Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook, citing press reports, suggested in an interview Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that Russians leaked the emails in effort to help Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.”
