Breaking: Yob Wins Virgin Islands Delegate Fight At RNC Contests Committee

The RNC’s Contest Committee has sided with political consultant John Yob over a controversy involving who will represent the Virgin Islands at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.

The ruling blasted Virgin Islands GOP leaders for playing games and causing drama over the last few months.

“The continual mischief from the Virgin Islands must end, starting at the top of the party,” the committee wrote. “Contestants were wrongly disqualified and, as the undisputed winners of the March 10, 2016 caucus,  should be among the U.S. Virgin Islands six delegates to the convention.”

Virgin Islands GOP Chairman John Canegata was singled out in the ruling…

“The committee wishes to reiterate its displeasure with the abhorrent behavior in recent months of some individuals within the Virgin Islands’ Party’s leadership, beginning with the Party’s Chairman and certain contestants. Their petulant, and at times, seemingly devious conduct, has cast a stain on the Republican brand in the Virgin Islands and must stop before even more damage can result.”
