Top Trump Advisor Says Indiana Win May End Cruz And Kasich

One of Donald Trump’s top advisors says if the real estate mogul wins Indiana, the race is basically over.

According to The Hill:

“A top aide to Donald Trump says a win in Indiana’s GOP presidential primary would cement the billionaire as the Republican presidential nominee.

“We’re ahead in Indiana, and if we do well in Indiana, we slam the door on everybody,” Sam Clovis said Monday on CNN’s “New Day.”

“I do think there’s going to be a sense of inevitability,” added Clovis, a national co-chairman for Trump’s campaign. “[Sen. Ted] Cruz [R-Texas] and [Gov. John] Kasich [R-Ohio] have a harder time every day making their case.”

Trump leads the GOP presidential field by more than 6 points ahead of Indiana’s May 3 primary, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average of polls.”
