According to Gateway Pundit:

“Cruz was introduced on the stage by Pastor Kevin Swanson – after he called for the execution of gays at the conference.

Kevin Swanson: Yes, Romans Chapter 1 verse 32 the Apostle Paul does says that homosexuals are worthy of death. His words not mine! And I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! And I am not ashamed of the truth of the word of God. And I am willing to go to jail…Now my friends let me introduce to you the next candidate for the office of President of the United States, folks please make welcome Senator Ted Cruz.”

  1. Perhaps Pastor Kevin Swanson should be reminded that Paul concluded in Romans 3:23 “…for ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” And I remember what my pastor once preached: “all” means “ALL”! Pastor Swanson, Romans was not just a hit piece on homosexuals. This particular example was the hook in Paul’s line (of reasoning) with which he would catch ALL of his readers. Every Jew or righteous Gentile reading this would be eagerly nodding his or her head, saying “You go, Paul! Those homosexuals will be the end of us…” It was then that Paul revealed his method by quoting from the Psalms, saying “There is NONE righteous, not even ONE! There is NONE who understands, there is NONE who seeks for God; ALL have turned aside, TOGETHER they have become USELESS; there is NONE who does good, there is NOT EVEN ONE.” I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, either…as long as the WHOLE gospel is preached. Pastor, Paul’s words should not be wrenched out of context to bludgeon homosexuals and bring them to THEIR knees, ignoring the fact that the WHOLE context of Paul’s writing was to bring ALL OF US to our knees.
