Speaker Paul Ryan had strong words for Hillary Clinton recently, blasting the former Secretary of State and saying that Republicans must present a clear alternative
According to The Hill:
“During his first news conference as Speaker, Paul Ryan said on Tuesday he isn’t paying attention to attacks on Congress from the pack of GOP presidential candidates. But that didn’t stop him from taking a shot at Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton.
“We are at a generational, defining moment,” Ryan, a Wisconsin Republican, told reporters Tuesday at the Republican National Committee headquarters. “We don’t believe the country is heading in the wrong direction. We think [President Obama] has been leading it in the wrong direction. We think a Hillary Clinton presidency will continue to lead the country in the wrong direction.
“That’s why we feel we have an obligation to the hard-working citizens in this county to show them how we would do things differently,” he continued, “to show them how we would tackle our country’s problem before they tackle us, to get things fixed.”
