Michigan Republicans United After Successful State Convention

The Michigan Republican Party held their state convention in Flint on Saturday, nominating candidates for Michigan Supreme Court, State Board Of Education, and other statewide offices.

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem and other special guests were on hand to address the crowd.

Delegates left the convention united and ready to get to work to re-elect President Trump, as well as take back the State House in November.

MIGOP Chair Pete Hoekstra allowed the faction supporting Kristina Karamo to have their say on rules and credentials, but the Karamo faction was overwhelmingly out voted.

Karamo herself was escorted out of the building after refusing to cooperate with party officials regarding an All Access pass she obtained, with Karamo rejecting a campaign staff credential that was offered to her so she could stay.

Winners of the races include:

Michigan Supreme Court (4 Year Position): Judge Patrick O’Grady

Michigan Supreme Court (8 Year Position): State Rep. Andrew Fink

State Board of Education: Tom McMillin and Nikki Snyder

Wayne State Board of Governors: Michael Busuito and Sunny Reddy

University of Michigan Board of Regents: Sevag Vartanian and Carl Meyers

Michigan State University Board of Trustees: Mike Balow and Julie Maday
