According to a recently concluded White House investigation, fourteen Office of Science and Technology Policy staffers said that Eric Lander, President Biden’s top science advisor, “bullied and demeaned” causing a toxic work environment.

There was evidence found that Lander bullied his then general counsel, Rachel Wallace as well as evidence of other “disrespectful interactions” with other staff.

There is more evidence showing that he was disrespectful to colleagues in front of others including being demeaning toward women.

Lander is scheduled to appear in front of the House’s Health Subcommittee on biomedical research on Tuesday.

He wrote an apology email on Friday to the entire 140 person staff stating, ““I am deeply sorry for my conduct. I especially want to apologize to those of you who I treated poorly or were present at the time.”
