Biden Approvals Plummet

In the year 2021, Joe Biden’s approval rating dropped down to negative numbers. He started the year off with an approval in the mid-50’s, but his leading decisions in the past 5 months have been devastating to Biden’s ratings.

An important cause of this slump was the increase of consumer prices and lack of goods starting in summer of 2021. There was also the influx of immigrants flowing through the Mexican border.

President Biden had also commanded a traumatic exit from Afghanistan back in August, which was severely criticized by many American people. And then, among all this, working hand-in-hand with the consistent increase of COVID-19 cases.

According to FOX News, Biden is standing at 43%-53% on average for approval.

Surveys conducted by Tony Fabrizio, a republican pollster, has attributed these poll drops to an “absolute collapse of support among independents, which were the backbone of his victory in ’20,” and “the collapse among Hispanic voters.”

These ratings indicate how the mid-term elections will playout and show that there is demand from the American public for a change in Washington. Many elements of Biden’s agenda have not passed, which will be worrisome for Democrats since their House and Senate majorities could be waivered.

Biden’s approval is less than other presidential predecessors, except for Donald Trump back in 2017.
