David Fergusson, a pro-abortion researcher, found that 42 percent of post-abortive women suffer from depression at double the rate of women who hadn’t had abortions.
He also found that those women were more likely to suffer from substance abuse, and other mental health issues.
However, news sources, like the New Zealand Herald, are denying to report his findings for political reasons and that they feel it “… is liable to be used and misused as ammunition by the pro-life brigade.” Apparently, telling the truth doesn’t matter.
Fergusson brought his findings to four different journals trying to spread awareness and to get the results published. He stated that he is typically picked up by his first choice, but this time he received a lot of push back.
This also isn’t the first time a study has found the same conclusions about the relation of abortions and mental health.
