Lena Epstein, the small business owner and former Michigan Trump Campaign Co Chair running for Congress in Michigan’s 11th District, says President Trump’s policies are helping women.
Epstein’s comments came in a Fox News appearance as “Women’s March” rallies took place across America yesterday.
“President Trump has created economic opportunity for all of us… this is truly favorable for women in this country,” Epstein said. “Women care about their 401k’s…Women care that when their children graduate from school whether they will be able to have a job available.”
President Trump encouraged people to attend the rallies in a Twitter statement, noting it was a great day for the event, and that female unemployment is at an 18 year low.
“Beautiful weather all over our great country, a perfect day for all Women to March,” Trump said. “Get out there now to celebrate the historic milestones and unprecedented economic success and wealth creation that has taken place over the last 12 months. Lowest female unemployment in 18 years!”
Epstein recently announced she has over $1 million on hand in her campaign to replace Rep. David Trott in Congress. Trott announced his retirement in the fall of 2017.
