After washing their hands of their colleague Sen. Al Franken (D-MN), Democrats are making a play to force President Trump out of the White House over alleged sexual misconduct. The junior senator from New York, Kirsten Gillibrand, appears to be leading the charge:
President Trump should resign. But, of course, he won’t hold himself accountable. Therefore, Congress should investigate the multiple sexual harassment and assault allegations against him.

Trump was quick to fire back this morning, accusing the senator of hypocrisy and disloyalty:
Despite thousands of hours wasted and many millions of dollars spent, the Democrats have been unable to show any collusion with Russia – so now they are moving on to the false accusations and fabricated stories of women who I don’t know and/or have never met. FAKE NEWS!

Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Chuck Schumer and someone who would come to my office “begging” for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump. Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!

The Washington Post is calling Trump’s tweet “sexually suggestive and demeaning,” and Morning Joe host Mika Brzezinski called his words “derogatory and disgusting.” Sen. Gillibrand herself called it a “sexist smear.”
A cynical observer might conclude, as the president did, that Democrats know their policies are deeply unpopular and have resorted to what they do best: outrage politics and cultural bickering.
