Andrew Weissman, one of the top investigators working for Special Counsel Robert Mueller spent election night in 2016 partying with Hillary Clinton, a blockbuster report reveals.
The revelation casts further doubts on whether Mueller’s investigation is fair and unbiased after another top investigator was busted sending Anti-Trump texts.
Wall Street Journal reports:
“Mr. Weissmann also attended Hillary Clinton’s election-night party at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York, according to people familiar with his attendance. At the time, Mr. Weissmann was running the Justice Department’s fraud section, which is a senior career post within the agency. In his current role, Mr. Weissmann has been leading the case against Paul Manafort, the former Trump campaign chairman, and Rick Gates, a campaign aide.”
The stunning new information is causing some people to believe the Mueller investigation should be shut down.
Even the Wall Street Journal recently called for Mueller to step aside.
According to Gateway Pundit:
“Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton called for Mueller’s investigation to be shut down following the news.
“On top of the @JudicialWatch find that Mueller deputy Andrew Weissman is an anti-Trump partisan, the @WSJ reports today he attended Hillary Clinton’s election night party. @RealDonaldTrumpDOJ needs to shut the Mueller farce down. Mr. Rosenstein should step up or step out,” tweeted Fitton.
In an email obtained by conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, Andrew Weissmann, special counsel Robert Mueller’s right hand man, praised then-acting attorney general Sally Yates for standing up to President Trump’s travel ban order.”
