Lindsey Vonn, a prominent Olympic skier who will soon compete in the 2018 Olympics, trashed President Trump in a recent interview.
Vonn says she wants to represent America well because President Trump isn’t doing a good job.
Vonn also says she will refuse to go to the White House if invited.
According to IJR:
“Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn plans to represent the U.S. in the upcoming Winter Olympics, but she’s insisting she has no intention of serving as an ambassador for President Donald Trump.
“I want to represent our country well. I don’t think that there are a lot of people currently in our government that do that,” Vonn, who is in Switzerland preparing for February’s Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, told CNN Wednesday.
She went on to say she hopes “to represent the people of the United States, not the president.” The 33-year-old skier also noted she wouldn’t accept a White House invitation if she won a gold medal in the 2018 games.
“I have to win to be invited [to the White House]. No, actually, I think every U.S. team member is invited, so no I won’t go,” Vonn said.”
President Trump has not yet responded to Vonn’s comments.
