Trouble For Hillary: Trump Is Outperforming Mitt Romney

Donald Trump is far outperforming Mitt Romney as he seeks to win the White House against Hillary Clinton…

According to reports:

“On the morning of the first general election presidential debate, Donald Trump finds himself in a better position in national as well as many battleground state polls than Mitt Romney with as many days left in the race. Election Day is six weeks from tomorrow.

At this same time in 2012, Mitt Romney trailed Barack Obama in the RealClearPolitics polling average by 3.7 percent. Today, Trump trails Hillary Clinton by 2.1 percent in the RCP average. Put another way, Clinton’s lead is 43 percent smaller than Obama’s over Romney.

There are five states that Obama won in 2012 that Trump is within striking distance of flipping. They are Colorado (nine electoral votes), Iowa (six electoral votes), Florida (29 electoral votes), Ohio (18 electoral votes), and Nevada (six electoral votes). They account for a total of 68 electoral votes. If Trump were to run those five states and grab the 2nd Congressional District.”
