California’s Department of Education is going to ban accelerated math courses for students who excel at math. You read that right – they are going to discourage students who are good at math from pursuing accelerated math classes.
The reason given for this insane move is “inequity,” or more specifically that some students may do better in math than others. This ignores the fact that this is how it is for any subject in school – some people are just naturally gifted.
Instead of focusing on math, California math courses will focus on “connecting math to social justice concepts like bias and racism” which makes no sense because math can’t be racist.
Radical Democrats can’t even get 2+2 right. Their policies make no sense and are actively harming our children’s’ futures.
