Hillary Clinton has agreed to appear before the House Select Committee on the topic of Benghazi. However, no specific date has been set and there is no guarantee it will happen anytime soon, The Hill reports.
In addition, there is criticism from committee members that the Obama administration continues to stonewall requests for records, testimony and documentation concerning the events in Benghazi, Libya.
Commenting on the slow pace of the committee’s investigation process, Rep. Jim Jordan detailed that there exists no “statute of limitations” of pursuing the truth and members will take as long as they need to in order to get it.
Hillary’s agreement could prove to be a double-edged sword. If she reneges, Republicans will shout her hypocrisy from the rooftops and if she testifies, committee members will likely aim to elicit another “what difference does it make” moment.
